Charles Munch – Tchaikovsky: Romeo and Juliet/ Strauss: Till Eulenspiegel (180g LP)

This is truly a demonstration recording. The classic reissue is cut directly from the original 3 track master and you can hear details in the recording previously unheard – like trucks outside the hall! Munch is conducting the BSO to perfection and the performances are first rate. I am partial to the Romeo and Juliet but the Strauss Til Eulenspiegel is great as well. This one has it all in spades.
