Asian Diva Teresa Ten. Stereo Sound’s analog record collection “Teresa Ten All Song Chinese Singing Board”, sold out in September 2018, was well received by domestic and foreign readers. Due to the limited quantity production by the direct press manufacturing method from First Metal Master, there were many who could not obtain it, and after that, many requests for a sequel have been received. Since the recorded songs are all songs of Teresa Ten’s mother tongue singing, love calls from the Chinese-speaking stereo sound readers are endless.
Meanwhile, the editor of the Chinese version of the stereo sound arrived with a new song selection sheet, which yearned for the production of the fifth and sixth editions.
As for stereo sound, we wanted to convey the excitement of Teresa Ten’s specially produced press board to Chinese version stereo sound readers. When I pleaded for the production of the next work of “Ban”, it showed deep understanding to audio lovers who love stereo sound, and this release was realized.
The sound sources of the songs recorded on the record of this work are all analog master tapes which are kept in good condition under the control of Japanese universal music.
Like the previous work, the production of the lacquer board, which is the master of this analog record, was produced by a famous cutting engineer who has been involved in cutting famous singers, such as Hibari Misora, Chiyoko Shimakura and Naomi Chiaki, who are major singer of the Japanese pop world. It is performed by Shigeru Takezawa.
The analog master tape was played back on a carefully tuned Studer tape recorder, the A80, and its sound was passed through a custom Columbia analog console and archived to the same custom DAW. Then, the sound groove that allows you to hear the nuances of the consonant of the Chinese singing sung by Teresa was deeply carved into the lacquer board by making full use of Neumann’s cutting machine VMS70 and cutter head SX74.
Record presses are directly pressed by Toyo Kasei Co., Ltd. with specially tuned press materials and press machines from the First Metal Master.
